About Debbie

My love of sports began at a young age. After trying a variety of sports, I chose to concentrate on gymnastics. I loved the thrill and excitement of being a gymnast. I competed in club, high school, and college. Even as a competitor, I enjoyed helping other athletes improve. That passion has never faded and as a result, I have been a gymnastics coach for over 30 years. One of my favorite aspects of coaching is helping gymnasts overcome the mental obstacles that get in their way of learning and performing at their best. As my daughters went off to college, I decided to return to school as well. Now, by getting my master’s degree in sport psychology, I am able to take my love of coaching beyond gymnastics and have the opportunity to help athletes in other sports reach their potential and perform at their best.

When I’m not working with athletes, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, playing tennis, trying new recipes and soaking up the vitamin D on a sunny day in Seattle.
